From 2003 to 2014, Kristine served numerous roles on the OVA Board of Directors, including as President, where she took a lead in shaping the success of the Association moving forward. Kristine has held indoor and beach coaching positions with Team Canada and Team Ontario and has won numerous coaching awards. She has been the head coach of the University of Toronto women's program since 1989, leading them to 22 consecutive OUA final four appearances and winning the championship banner seven times. She coached the Blues to a perfect season in 2015-16, claiming the first CIS championship in program history, and earning her CIS coach of the year honours.
She even received awards from the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women in Sport Awards for her positive contributions to equity at the local, national and international level for over 10 years. A former captain and all-Canadian with the Varsity Blues, Kristine was a member of Canada's national volleyball and beach volleyball teams and was a 2001 inductee into the University of Toronto's Sports Hall of Fame.
She has volunteered at almost every level of the sport, internationally and nationally with the FIVB, University Sports Federation, Canadian Interuniversity Sport, OVA and was the Sport Organizing Chair for indoor volleyball at the TO2015 Pan American Games.
