A member of the pioneering Scarborough Optimists program, Williams was part of the 1980 Canadian Junior Women's National Team that captured the NORCECA Championship and later represented Canada at the senior level. Her volleyball journey took her to the University of Michigan, where she excelled both on the court and in the classroom, earning the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor for academic and athletic achievement.
Beyond her playing career, Williams continued to give back to the sport through coaching, officiating, and athlete development, helping grow volleyball in the Cayman Islands while remaining connected to the community that helped launch her career.
