Daniel Lewis (Pakmen Gold Omar, 18U) has been selected as the 2025 Ken Davies Memorial Award winner. The award is bestowed annually to a youth athlete who best embodies sportsmanship, dedication, performance and community involvement.

About the Ken Davies Memorial Award:
The award was established in 1989 in honour of the late Ken Davies, an exceptional individual and talented athlete who excelled in soccer, basketball, and volleyball, earning multiple MVP honors and being named Athlete of the Year at Clarke High School. His dedication led him to the Ontario Provincial Team for the 1989 Canada Games—a dream come true for the Kendal, ON native. Driven by competition, Ken aspired to play for the national team and become a physical education teacher, known for his quiet intensity, coachability, and relentless work ethic. Tragically, his life was cut short by a drunk driver in 1989, but his legacy of passion, sportsmanship, and perseverance lives on.

The award has been bestowed to a great number of talented Ontario athletes, including Paul Duerden, Dustin and Daryl Reid, Tyler Scheerhoorn, Justin Lui and Erik Siksna.
