A founding figure in the growth of the Georgian Cubs Volleyball Club, Reg Jang played a central role in creating opportunities for athletes throughout Barrie, Orillia, Collingwood, and surrounding communities. His athlete-first approach helped build one of the region's most influential volleyball organizations while making a culture that encouraged athletes, coaches, and officials to stay involved in the sport for years to come.
Beyond coaching and club administration, Jang dedicated hours to officiating and referee development, serving at provincial, national, and international events, including the 2015 Pan American Games. His contributions have touched every level of volleyball; that's elementary school gyms and local tournaments to some of the sport's biggest stages.
In 2026, Reg Jang was inducted into the Ontario Volleyball Association Hall of Fame in the Builder Category, recognizing a lifetime of service spent strengthening volleyball communities and creating opportunities for others to succeed.
